Formula 1, Engineering, and Fashion

The combination of fashion and technology is the largest driver of inspiration for iUNGO LABS. The brand's first exploration into technology is 3D printing.

3D printing is a technology commonly used in the automotive industry, including Formula 1. Its benefits include rapid prototyping, which is critical when teams are competing on very short timeframes, needing to upgrade even within a week of back-to-back races. Although data can be shown theoretically on various software, an upgrade can't be fully verified until it's been physically tested. Another benefit is the ability to create complex shapes and lightweight structures that can only be achieved with 3D printing.

On the fashion side of Formula 1, the sport is increasingly running in parallel with the fashion industry. Lewis Hamilton has been integral in bringing the world of fashion into F1. His avant-garde paddock looks, Met Gala appearances, and brand collaborations have opened up opportunities for fashion to enter the sport. Now, it's common for the WAGs to dress up for the weekend's events in elegant gowns and designer bags, and fans, more than ever, are planning their outfits for F1 months in advance. It has become a huge cultural event in fashion, marketing, and social media.

iUNGO LABS creates 3D printed purses, combining the technical art of 3D modeling and printing with playful yet sleek design.
